There is a “hole” of 30 billion in the budget of Ukraine
There is a “hole” of 30 billion in Ukraine’s budget for this year due to the fact that the authorities deliberately overestimated the level of income and economic development.
This was stated at a meeting of the Conciliation Council of faction leaders and chairmen of committees of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine by Vitaly Khomutinnik (Vozrozhdenie deputy group).

According to Khomutynnik, the practice of overestimating economic indicators continues during the preparation of the draft budget of Ukraine for 2017.
“We received the draft budget only 15 minutes before the start of the meeting of the Conciliation Council. If the government believes that criticism of the budget can be avoided because we won’t have time to read it now, then there is enough time to sort out the numbers and give a proper assessment.
This budget is a kind of test for the government; its failure will mean the failure of both financial and economic activities and the activities of the government as a whole, which should lead to resignation.
What we have seen now and what can already be said is that the revenue base is at UAH 877 billion, which is 130 billion more than this year. Due to what? Due to the fact that it is planned to increase GDP by 3%.
The previous government did the same tricks, and now, at the end of the year, we see that the forecast, which was set by the previous government at the level of 2%, is also a failure. Now the state is already losing more than 10 billion UAH only due to miscalculation of macroeconomic indicators and 17 billion UAH due to the complete failure of privatization. Those. This year, 25-30 billion UAH of expenses will not be enough.
And this government is repeating that practice, inflating indicators to show that supposedly everything is fine in the state, and there is enough money for everyone. And at the end of next year it will do the same,” the deputy said.
