Kyiv, June 27 (Navigator, Mikhail Ryabov) – The level of supporters of the war in Donbass is falling in Central and Western Ukraine, admitted former Minister of Defense of Ukraine Anatoly Gritsenko.

“Let's be honest. The level of patriotism and upsurge that was at the beginning is falling. You see it. It falls in Central and Western Ukraine. They are already blocking the road, mothers no longer want to send their soldiers, they already want to recall them. Not because they stopped loving the country, but because of the incompetent leadership, the government, which cannot make an obvious decision on defense, on the purchase of drones, modern weapons, etc.,” Gritsenko said.
“If during the election campaign Petro Poroshenko promised publicly that every soldier in the ATO zone would receive UAH 1000 daily, and his life would be insured for UAH 2 million, this must be done. If this cannot be done - President Poroshenko cannot find the money, let businessman Poroshenko give his money. The president’s word cannot be empty,” the former defense minister emphasized.
“We have 300 thousand government officials, and therefore the children of everyone should be there - starting from the son of the president, from the son of the former Supreme Commander-in-Chief Turchinov, the sons of all deputies, all governors, all judges, prosecutors, customs officers, etc. And we will see battalions of tax officials, judges, prosecutors, and parliamentarians. Then there will be trust among citizens. And every child who ends up there will call dad and say: “I have 300 people in my unit, and only 30 bulletproof vests.” And they will appear there. Then we will complete the operation with success,” Gritsenko outlined his recipe, drawing applause from the audience.
