“According to data from local residents of the village of Avdeevka, on the northwestern outskirts of the city, 6 units of self-propelled artillery units were identified that are firing at the territory of the DPR,” stated the DPR Ministry of Defense.
It became known that in the Petrovsky district of Donetsk, one schoolchild was killed and two were injured from an explosion of ammunition fired by the Ukrainian side. All children were born in 2007.
The head of the district administration, Maxim Zhukovsky, clarified that students from school No. 105 were injured. “The tragedy occurred at the stadium of school No. 110. One boy died; he would have been 12 years old on November 10. Two more with serious injuries were sent to the Republican Children’s Clinical Hospital.”
The explosion occurred after “one of the children in the stadium area saw an unknown object and threw a brick at it.” The object turned out to be an unexploded shell.
The Petrovsky district of Donetsk is considered dangerous because it is located on the demarcation line and comes under Ukrainian artillery fire almost every day.
