In the center of Kyiv, police with batons dispersed a rally of defrauded investors (VIDEO)
Kyiv, February 26 (PolitNavigator, Mikhail Ryabov) - In the center of Kyiv, police with batons dispersed a rally of defrauded investors - the so-called “Financial Maidan”. Its participants have been demanding for several weeks that the National Bank recalculate foreign currency loans into hryvnia and return money from bankrupt financial institutions.

The police, claiming a violation of the rules of improvement, demolished the tents of the protesters near the National Bank building, warning that in case of resistance they would open fire. At the same time, Institutskaya Street was blocked in advance by law enforcement officers.
“2 buses with police, they beat everyone, both women and men, a bulldozer. Snipers are on the roof,” protest participant Elena Yampolskaya wrote on her Facebook page.
“People, this was a real mess. I can confirm that I was there at the very epicenter. They don’t care about women, they beat everyone indiscriminately,” comments Kiev resident Pavel Markevich.
According to eyewitnesses, as a result of the clash with the police, there were several seriously injured people who were taken away by ambulances.
It is noteworthy that, like a year ago, before the start of the police cleansing, the demonstrators, grouped together, sang the Ukrainian anthem in chorus.
Now some of the protesters continue to remain near the destroyed camp near the National Bank, hoping that, as in the times of Viktor Yanukovych, like-minded people will join them for a more massive protest against the now new government.
