A cinema collapsed in the center of Krivoy Rog
On Gagarin Avenue in Krivoy Rog, the roof of the former Salyut cinema collapsed, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
This was reported by the press secretary of the State Emergency Service of the Dnepropetrovsk region Daria Grechishin.
“There is information, Krivoy Rog. We received a message and have now left the fire and rescue station there. This is only operational information for us. There are no casualties yet,” the press service reported.
The call to rescuers came in at 11:42. The total area of the building is 1200 sq.m., the collapse area is about 300 sq.m. meters - load-bearing structures, walls and roof were damaged. During the collapse, there was a security guard on the premises who left on his own.
The press secretary also added that the building of the former cinema had not been used for a long time; it was disconnected from the gas supply, water supply, and heating network.
