The fact is that the emergency tree, which swayed from the slightest gust of wind and could fall onto the sidewalk at any moment, was located near the office of the local Right Sector. Having assessed the possible threat, one of the fighters went out on duty at the emergency tree to warn passers-by about the danger.
At the same time, the Right Sector activists contacted the city executive committee, but only deputy mayor Yuri Andrienko managed to get through. However, while rescuers were driving to the scene, a tree collapsed on a Right Sector fighter.
“I tried to call the city executive committee, but they didn’t answer the calls, I only got through to Andrienko, who immediately responded to the situation. But while the Ministry of Emergency Situations was driving, a tree collapsed and crushed our soldier’s leg, tearing his uniform and leaving a severe bruise! As a result, an hour later the Ministry of Emergency Situations arrived and simply moved the tree from the pedestrian sidewalk. In the city, trees fall on passers-by. what if it weren’t for the leg? What if it’s for a child?” writes a right-winger with the call sign “Jurgen” on his Facebook page.
Representatives of the Right Sector contact Mayor Yuri Granaturov about this problem and warn that they will bring dry trees instead of tires to the city executive committee.
