Representatives of the organization report that unknown persons threw an explosive package under a parked car. The rear bumper of the car was torn off and the muffler was slightly bent. There are no casualties or injuries.
The police have now cordoned off the block and blocked traffic along Zhukovsky Street.
Activists report that they saw the unknown person before the explosion and tried to catch up with him. When they returned to the building, an explosion was heard.
Representatives of the organization claim that a second explosion was planned, much more powerful than the first. According to Maidan protesters, the attacker probably threw an explosive package under the car to gather as many onlookers as possible, and then intended to detonate a second explosive device.
In turn, local media report that at the scene of the incident, activists detained a foreigner, a native of Central Asia, who was handed over to law enforcement officers.
The detainee himself denies any involvement in the explosion and states that he was simply passing by.
As PolitNavigator reported, on the night of December 10 in Odessa, an explosion occurred in an office center where a volunteer center for assistance to troops of the anti-terrorist operation in eastern Ukraine was located.
