According to the Central Operations Center of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine in the Zaporozhye region, an explosion occurred near the left side of the building today, March 26, at about 01:24.
According to preliminary data, a homemade explosive device exploded, consisting of an asbestos pipe, a plastic container with hunting smokeless gunpowder and a propellant.
The glass on the front door was damaged as a result of the explosion. The building of the Zaporozhye regional state administration was not damaged, there were no casualties.
Information about the event is included in the Unified Register of Pre-trial Investigations on the grounds of a criminal offense under Part 4 of Art. 296 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (especially malicious hooliganism). Such actions are punishable by imprisonment for a term of three to seven years.
According to local media, in that part of the building where the explosion occurred, the headquarters of the local Self-Defense is located.
