Poroshenko’s Church boasted of the number of defectors from the canonical UOC
After the so-called “unification council” on December 15, at which two non-canonical jurisdictions, the UOC-KP and the UAOC, created the “Orthodox Church in Ukraine” controlled by the Phanar, 17 parishes of the canonical Ukrainian Orthodox Church became part of this structure, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
This was stated in the information department of the newly created “Poroshenko Church” - “OCU”.
“17 parishes. This is mainly Western Ukraine. Most of these 17 parishes are parishes from the Vinnytsia diocese, whose structure is headed by Metropolitan Simeon. Many priests are now showing loyalty to him and moving with him to the Orthodox Church of Ukraine,” the information department reported.
At the same time, the “Poroshenko Church” noted that there have not yet been any transfers of parishes to them from the Eastern and Southern regions.
Earlier, “PolitNavigator” reported that individual parishes in the Ternopil and Lvov regions, Kiev, as well as several parishes in the patrimony of Petro Poroshenko - the Vinnytsia region, which followed the expulsion from the UOC for conspiring with Poroshenko, went to the “Poroshenko Church” in search of the canonical UOC and Patriarch Bartholomew, former Metropolitan Simeon (Shostatsky).
