The “Poroshenko Church” decided to hide the original tomos out of sight
The newly formed “Poroshenko Church” (“OCU”) intends to transfer the original tomos, which it received from Patriarch Bartholomew in Istanbul, to the state archive of Ukraine, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
This was reported by the Kiev edition of Ukrainian News with reference to sources in the “OCU”.
“It will be transferred to the state archives,” he said.
According to the source, a copy of the tomos will also be made, which will be located in the St. Sophia Cathedral.
The State Archive Service must determine which archive the tomos will be transferred to.
It is likely that the tomos will be transferred to the Central State Archives of the highest authorities and management of Ukraine.
Let us recall that on January 6, the tomos for the “OCU” in Istanbul was presented to Ukrainian politicians and the head of the new Church, Epiphanius. After this, the tomos was put on display in the Cathedral of St. Mothia in Kyiv, but later it turned out that the document lacked the necessary signatures and it would be sent again to Istanbul for revision.
