About it reported on the website of the Investigative Committee of Russia.
“The criminal investigation has been completed against members of a gang consisting of members of the nationalist organization “Ukrainian National Assembly - Ukrainian People’s Self-Defense” (UNA-UNSO) - citizens of Ukraine Mykola Karpyuk and Stanislav Klykh,” the investigation reports.
The Investigative Committee believes that in the early 1990s, a right-wing radical organization UNA-UNSO was created on the territory of Ukraine, the goals of which were to fight the Russian authorities and exterminate citizens of the Russian Federation of Russian nationality.
Members of the group have been fighting in Chechnya since 1991 on the side of supporters of the creation of an independent Islamic state. In particular, in December 1994, Karpyuk, Muzychko and other persons, while on the territory of Ukraine, participated in the organization of stable armed groups for their subsequent participation in the conflict in Chechnya on the side of Ichkeria.
From December 1994 to January 1995, Karpyuk, Klykh, Malofeev and others themselves participated in clashes with Russian military personnel on the territory of the Presidential Palace, Minutka Square and the Grozny railway station. They are accused of killing at least 30 military personnel and inflicting injuries of varying severity to at least 13 military personnel.
