According to the SBU press center, a 29-year-old resident of Cherkassy made deliveries under the guidance of a coordinator from the DPR. For several months, a resident of Cherkassy and other people (12 people were identified) collected medicines, camouflage clothing and unloading vests for the DPR.
“The attacker admitted that he planned to send a detachment of trained mercenaries from the Cherkasy region to the anti-terrorist operation (ATO) zone. To receive further instructions, he planned to meet with his “curator” Serdyuk in Rostov-on-Don, since the terrorist fled to the Russian Federation after the liberation of Kramatorsk from militants. The meeting did not take place because a resident of Cherkassy was detained by law enforcement officers,” the department claims.
During searches of the detainee’s home, security forces seized propaganda literature, copies of the Novorossiysk Courier newspaper, shipments of medicines, military camouflage clothing, and computer equipment.
As Navigator reported, the SBU has previously repeatedly announced the detention of people who recruited volunteers for Donbass.
