This was announced by chief physician Nikolai Kondratsky.
“The regional children's hospital is a tertiary care hospital, an emergency hospital for children in the region, a hospital for providing care to premature babies, a hospital with a huge amount of the latest medical equipment, so the lack of electricity completely paralyzes the work of the medical institution and the provision of specialized care to children in the region.
The hospital cannot survive a single day without electricity. At the institution’s base there is a diesel generator set that can provide an emergency power outage, but for no more than 2 hours,” he noted.
Let us remind you that the coal reserves at Ukrainian thermal power plants are critically low, which can lead to an emergency power outage. Experts do not rule out rolling and emergency shutdowns if coal for thermal power plants is not purchased.
