This was reported by the press service of the prosecutor's office of the Chernigov region.
“Residents of Chernigov approached the city prosecutor for a personal meeting with statements about attempts to bribe voters. The applicants were offered money of 400 UAH if they voted for a certain candidate for people’s deputies of Ukraine in single-mandate electoral district No. 205 or 1000 UAH for providing personal data of 10 people who agreed to vote for money,” the report says.
The appeal was sent to the Chernigov city police department to organize a verification of the stated facts and make a decision within the framework of current legislation.
As it became known from local sources, we may be talking about attempts to bribe voters on the part of Igor Kolomoisky’s ex-deputy Gennady Korban, who is trying to get into parliament from Chernigov.
Earlier it was reported that in Chernigov, a drunken policeman beat up campaigners for a candidate for people's deputies.
