This is stated in the story of the local TV channel “Ditinets”.
It is reported that near the monument, local researcher Vera Zaichenko gave an open-air lecture on the meaning of embroidery. According to her, embroidery is of great importance for the Ukrainian people, as it accompanied a person from birth to death.
“When fabric was scarce in the 20s and 30s, people started cutting off the bottom half of the shirt and using it for baby diapers and wearing the top half,” she said.
