A US destroyer and a Turkish submarine entered the Black Sea

The US Navy guided-missile destroyer USSRoss and the Turkish diesel-electric submarine Type 209/1400 Preveze entered the Black Sea.
Photos of the joint passage of combat units through the Bosphorus were published by the Turkish blog Yörük Işık, which monitors activity in the strait, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
NATO forces increased their presence in the Black Sea after 2014 with the aim of “containing Russia,” whose position in the region was significantly strengthened after the reunification of Crimea.
