The newest Russian submarine entered the Black Sea

The newest diesel submarine of the Black Sea Fleet, Novorossiysk, entered the Black Sea, having made an inter-fleet transition from the Murmansk region. This was reported by the press service of the Black Sea Fleet.

Novorossiysk is the first of six Project 636.3 submarines built specifically for the Black Sea Fleet. They belong to the third generation of diesel submarines and are considered one of the quietest in the world, have higher combat effectiveness, and the latest missile and torpedo weapon systems, radio electronics and hydroacoustics,” the press service noted.
The permanent base of the submarine will be the Novorossiysk naval base.
