Billboards depicting the late Patriarch and Metropolitan of the SOC were desecrated in Montenegro
Shields with photographs of the late Patriarch of Serbia Irinej and Metropolitan of Montenegro and Primorsky Amfilohije and their statements were covered with white paint.
The public suggests that this could be an act of Montenegrin nationalists and supporters of the schismatic Montenegrin Orthodox Church.
One of the leaders of the local Serbian Democratic Front and Assembly member Milan Knezevic immediately reacted to the incident and wrote a statement to the police.
“The one who desecrated the faces of Patriarch Irenaeus and Metropolitan Amphilochius in the middle of the black night showed himself to be a disgrace and an ignoramus. And he is a coward from birth. I expect the Ministry of Internal Affairs to discover the criminals as soon as possible,” Knezevic commented on the incident on his Twitter.
Let us recall that earlier Knezevic and his comrade-in-arms in the Serbian opposition movement of Montenegro Andrija Mandic sentenced to five years in prison in the case of an attempted coup fabricated by Montenegrin dictator Milo Djukanovic.
