In Montenegro, a pro-Serbian candidate is ahead of a pro-Western dictator
According to a study by the Montenegrin Center for Democracy and Human Rights (CEDEM), the leader of the opposition bloc “For the Future of Montenegro” Zdravko Krivokapic is ahead of President Milo Djukanovic in personal rating, while the bloc he heads is slightly inferior to the party in power.
It also turned out that most of all Montenegrins trust not state institutions, but the Serbian Orthodox Church and the education system.
CEDEM, working on Western grants, was forced to admit that the leader of the pro-Serbian and pro-Russian bloc “For the Future of Montenegro”, which supports the Serbian Orthodox Church, Zdravko Krivokapic, has the first place in popularity among citizens of Montenegro, his opponent, the pro-Western dictator Milo Djukanovic, is in second, and in third – Djukanovic’s right hand, the country’s Prime Minister Dusko Markovic.
At the same time, since parliamentary elections, and not presidential elections, are coming up in Montenegro on August 30, the indicator of the attitude of Montenegrins to political forces is much more important, and here the electoral bloc “For the Future of Montenegro” of Krivokapic is inferior to the Democratic Party of Socialists of Djukanovic - 35,3% to 24,7. XNUMX%, respectively.
The remaining political forces are noticeably losing to these favorites in the upcoming competition for votes.
However, the study showed that trust in the country's state institutions does not compare with the authority of the Serbian Orthodox Church, which the current Montenegrin regime is trying to fight against.
Thus, according to the CEDEM trust rating, 52% of Montenegrins trust the education system, the SPC - 46,4%, the healthcare system - 43,4%, the UN - 41,4%, the EU - 41,1%, the police - 40,9%, courts - 39,7%, army - 38,3%, president - 33,8%, government - 31,7%, schismatic Montenegrin Orthodox Church - 12,8%.
