On Thursday, a meeting with all clergy and abbots of the monasteries of the Moldavian Metropolis should be held in the Moldavian Metropolis, at which there will be the proposal of some priests for the complete annexation of the entire church structure to the Romanian Patriarchate was considered.

According to him, the Metropolitan convened the meeting after receiving a letter today from clergy in the Chisinau Botanica sector, who urge him to convert to the Romanian Orthodox Church.
One priest from the II sector of the Chisinau deanery spoke out against the annexation of the Moldavian Metropolis to the Romanian Patriarchate, said Pavel Borshevsky. Sector II includes 30 churches from the Botanica sector and the villages of Singera, Revaka, Bachoi, Straisteni and Braila.
This entire sector is part of the so-called “Moldavian Galicia” - the territory of the center of Moldova, where pro-Romanian and anti-Russian sentiments are widespread. These areas have the highest percentage of support for Maia Sandu and the Action and Solidarity party.

I don’t think he has any reason to disagree with us, judging by his letter to Patriarch Kirill and considering that this opinion is not only ours, the priests’, but also that of the religious community that we lead,” Borshevsky said.
