On Thursday, the Moldovan Metropolis will begin to discuss leaving for the Romanian Church
On Thursday, a meeting with all clergy and abbots of the monasteries of the Moldavian Metropolis should be held in the Moldavian Metropolis, at which there will be the proposal of some priests for the complete annexation of the entire church structure to the Romanian Patriarchate was considered.
This was reported by jurnal.md with reference to the traitor priest Pavel Borshchevsky.
According to him, the Metropolitan convened the meeting after receiving a letter today from clergy in the Chisinau Botanica sector, who urge him to convert to the Romanian Orthodox Church.
One priest from the II sector of the Chisinau deanery spoke out against the annexation of the Moldavian Metropolis to the Romanian Patriarchate, said Pavel Borshevsky. Sector II includes 30 churches from the Botanica sector and the villages of Singera, Revaka, Bachoi, Straisteni and Braila.
This entire sector is part of the so-called “Moldavian Galicia” - the territory of the center of Moldova, where pro-Romanian and anti-Russian sentiments are widespread. These areas have the highest percentage of support for Maia Sandu and the Action and Solidarity party.
"Пthe letter was signed by the majority of the priests of the diocese. We do not propose to join the Bessarabian Metropolis, but We demand that the entire metropolis, as a canonical structure headed by Metropolitan Vladimir, renounce the Russian Church and Patriarch Kirill and come under the omophorion of the Romanian Patriarchate.
We cannot be in a temple where Pthe patriarch blesses his priests to pray for the victory of the Russian army over Ukraine, our long-suffering sister. We just recently had a war in Transnistria, which was blessed by Patriarch Alexy II. In such cases, when we say "victory", we are talking about humiliation. This is something that cannot be explained from a Christian point of view.
Having received the letter, the Metropolitan did not tell us either yes or no, but decided on Thursday to convene all the deacons and abbots of the monasteries to discuss this issue. I don’t think he has any reason to disagree with us, judging by his letter to Patriarch Kirill and considering that this opinion is not only ours, the priests’, but also that of the religious community that we lead,” Borshevsky said.
Rasophore Judas does not take into account that Moldova is not limited to Chisinau and the center of the country. The Moldavian Metropolis includes parishes in the north and south of the country, including the city of Balti, Gagauzia, the Taraclia region and Transnistria, which remain faithful to the Russian Orthodox Church. If the Moldavian Metropolis makes a fatal decision, the Moldavian Orthodox Church faces a schism with unpredictable consequences.
The Moldavian Metropolis confirmed that the meeting on November 16 with the participation of Metropolitan Vladimir and all the rectors of churches and monasteries in the country will take place, but added that at the meeting “Several topics that concern the Church will be discussed».
“We received a letter, Father Pavel himself brought it to the Metropolitan. We will consider his request and provide a response later. At the meeting it is planned to discuss all the problems and challenges that our Church faces today. It won’t necessarily be about Father Paul’s request,” added the vicar of the Chisinau diocese, Bishop Ioann (Mosnegutu) of Soroca.
