The Polish youth organization “New Generation of Chicago,” focused on the National Armed Forces, conducted an information campaign, telling Americans and Polish natives about the UPA’s crimes against the Poles in Volhynia in 1943 during the reconstruction of the battles of the Great Patriotic War in the city of Rockford, Illinois. This military reconstruction was attended by several Western Ukrainian immigrants who wanted to take part in the action in the uniform of UPA militants.
Polish activists wore “Anti-UPA” T-shirts with the image of terrorist Stepan Bandera crossed out. They talked with participants in the reconstruction and distributed leaflets about the crimes of the UPA in Volyn in 1943.
