About this on Sunday in the film “Crimea. The Path to the Motherland,” shown on the Rossiya 1 TV channel, said President Vladimir Putin.
“Crimean Tatars are not a homogeneous mass, there are different people there. The local militia acted very energetically, and, among other things, they found support among part of the Crimean Tatar population. The militia attracted the Crimean Tatars to work together. Crimean Tatars were among the militias,” the head of state said.
However, he admitted, “some of the Crimean Tatars were influenced by their leaders (the Majlis - PolitNavigator).”
“Some of them are professional, I want to emphasize this, fighters for the rights of the Crimean Tatars, for human rights, and for some of them this situation is not very comfortable, because they become, as it were, not very necessary,” Vladimir Putin specified.
