The US Democratic Party came to its senses and admitted that it was overdoing it with anti-Russian rhetoric that was uninteresting to Americans
The defeat of American Democrats in the recent election of a congressman from the state of Georgia has dissuaded some of its representatives from the correctness of party rhetoric: ordinary functionaries expect the leadership of the Democratic Party to focus its attention on internal problems of the United States and talk less about Russia in order to avoid a fiasco in the midterm elections to Congress in 2018, пишет "Independent newspaper".

“We can't just talk about Russia: people from Ohio don't talk so much about it, about Putin, about Michael Flynn. “They're trying to figure out how to make a mortgage payment, how to pay for their kids' college, what their energy bill is,” the publication quotes Democratic Congressman Tim Ryan from an MSNBC interview.
“If we don't prioritize their interests over our hatred of Donald Trump and everything that's going on, then we can't win the election,” the congressman said.
Many of his party members agree with this point of view. Thus, Democrat Tim Wahls said that he had a trip to 22 counties, during which he was convinced that ordinary Americans were not fixated on the Russian issue, “which “certainly does not occupy their entire thoughts.”
“We must concentrate on improving the economic situation,” Democratic Congressman Peter Welch suggests. – We need to not overdo it with criticism – be it Trump, Russia or Komi, because we have our own independent dynamics. It will be much better if we just do more work on the agenda. Talking about Trump and Russia does not create any agenda.”
