This was announced by the author of the project, Kyiv City Council deputy from the ultra-nationalist VO “Svoboda” Yuriy Sirotyuk, on his page on the social network Facebook.
“To establish that in Kyiv, in all areas of service to citizens, the state language is used - Ukrainian. The service provider is obliged to address and communicate with the recipient of services (client) in the state language. The transition to foreign languages is possible at the request of the client if the service provider speaks them. All catering and retail establishments must have a menu written in the state language. When serving visitors, the staff undertakes to offer a menu in Ukrainian and only at the visitor’s request to provide a menu in any other language, if available,” the document says.
Sirotyuk noted that the draft decision “enshrines the constitutional right of Ukrainians to receive services in the service sector in their native language.”
We would like to remind you that PolitNavigator previously reported that a “prohibition law” was introduced in Kyiv during the Eurovision Song Contest.
Let us remind you that April 20 is the birthday of Adolf Hitler, who is an idol for neo-Nazi youth from fan groups that form the backbone of the street extras of the Freedom Party.
