On the Day of Happiness, Ukraine turned out to be the most unhappy
Ukraine occupies one of the last places in the ranking of the happiest countries, which is compiled annually by the UN.
About it сообщает “Komsomolskaya Pravda”, indicating that March 20 is World Happiness Day.
In total, UN experts take six parameters by which they examine the situation in countries.
1. GDP per capita. Take into account domestic prices in dollars USA.
2. Healthy life expectancy. Not only data from local health care structures is taken, but also data from the World Health Organization starting in 2012.
3. Social support. They take into account the results of Gallup World Polls about who helps a person when problems arise: friends, relatives, etc...
4. Freedom of life choice. Surveys suggest determining whether citizens are satisfied or not with freedom—the lack of freedom to choose what and how they do in life.
5. Generosity. Spending on charity and free donations are taken into account.
6. Perception of corruption. They take into account the answers to the questions “Is corruption widespread in government or not?”, “Is corruption widespread in business or not?”
Also taken into account were responses to the question: did the person feel happy or anxious on the day of the survey?
Among the countries that were previously part of the USSR, Uzbekistan took first place, followed by Lithuania and Latvia. Russia was in fourth place.
Ukraine took 15th place in the post-Soviet and 136th place in the global ranking out of 156 participants.
