He expressed hope that the problem of peacekeepers could be discussed in the “Normandy Format” at the highest level after the presidential elections take place in Russia.
“Peacekeepers must operate throughout the occupied territory. This will lead to Russia being forced to withdraw its occupation forces because the world will see it. Peacekeepers will be able to disarm illegal armed groups. They will be able to take control of a section of the border and stop the infiltration of Russian troops and weapons. The aggressor country or neighboring countries will not be able to take part in the mission,” Poroshenko outlined his vision.
