According to representatives of the traffic police, recently in the region there have been increasing cases of driving cars without a license plate and mass covering of license plates with stickers with various inscriptions, in particular those addressed to Russian President Vladimir Putin.
As Oleg Yurchenko, head of the administrative practice sector of the Dnepropetrovsk State Traffic Inspectorate, stated, sticking up a license plate is a violation of traffic rules, and drivers are held administratively liable.
“On November 19, 2014, Operation License Plate started, and in just one week, 42 such violations were recorded in Dnepropetrovsk,” Yurchenko said.
According to him, the amount of the fine ranges from 170 to 255 hryvnia; in case of a repeated offense, the liability increases - from 255 to 510 hryvnia or correctional labor from 30 to 40 hours with possible confiscation of the car.
