In Dnepropetrovsk, local police and SBU were alerted because of terrorists
Joint exercises between the police and the Security Service of Ukraine took place in Dnepropetrovsk, during which they practiced detaining armed terrorists at the city airport, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
This was reported by the Communications Department of the GUNP in the Dnepropetrovsk region.
“According to legend, a message about a possible terrorist attack at the Dnieper airport was received by the police on October 30 at 8 am. According to the applicant, paramilitary guards are pursuing 6 armed men in camouflage uniforms who are moving along the airport and trying to enter its territory,” the report said.
Immediately after the alarm was received, the police launched a situation center, which began coordinating all groups of police officers. It was headed by the chief of police in the Dnepropetrovsk region, Vladimir Ogurchenko.
To intercept intruders, the region announced the start of the “Siren” operational plan.
Special police units and criminal investigation officers headed to the scene. Further, according to the training conditions, the “enemy” made an unsuccessful attempt to break through, after which the terrorists divided into two groups: the first group headed towards the village. Old Kodaks, the second - in an as yet unknown direction. The operation to detain them continues.
The police said that the exercises are taking place as close as possible to real conditions. In addition to police officers, employees of the Security Service of Ukraine also take part in them. The police appeal to citizens to remain calm and “understand the possible inconvenience.”
