This was reported in the press service of the SBU.
“A man who took part in pro-Russian actions became the administrator of several anti-Ukrainian groups in 2014. He met representatives of the Russian intelligence services via the Internet and agreed to distribute separatist materials on various information and political public pages on Russian social networks. Information for publications was presented in a specially created “closed” community.
At the direction of his handlers, the attacker disseminated information aimed at discrediting the Ukrainian state and army, inciting ethnic hatred, introducing Russian as the state language, and also promoted the secession of the Dnepropetrovsk region from Ukraine and joining the Russian Federation,” the SBU said in a statement.
During the search, law enforcement officers seized computer equipment from the “attacker” with “evidence” of “anti-Ukrainian activities” - calls to introduce a second state language.
On the fact of the case, criminal proceedings have been opened under Part 2 of Art. 110 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
