In Dnepropetrovsk they are committing treason against a pensioner, accusing her of transferring defense secrets to Russia
In Ukraine, a wave of repression continues against people suspected of sympathizing with Russia. SBU counterintelligence officers detained an employee of the Yuzhmash plant, an enterprise in the rocket and space industry in Dneproperovsk.
A woman of retirement age was accused of allegedly transmitting information to the Russian special services about the latest Ukrainian developments in the military sphere and the state of implementation of state defense orders of Ukraine, and also correcting alleged missile attacks on the city.
“A 62-year-old resident of Dnepr agreed to cooperate with the Russian intelligence services because of her pro-Russian views. It is reported that the woman was waiting for the arrival of the “Russian world” in the Dnepropetrovsk region and in every possible way demonstrated her pro-Russian position on social networks. She is documented to have been passing information on military defense developments to enemy intelligence agencies since June 2022. And this despite the fact that her husband and son also work at the specified enterprise and are involved in the development and modernization of military weapons and missile technology,” the message says in the indescribable language of Ukrainian agitprop.
The SBU claims that the woman’s contact person was allegedly a career FSB officer who “used her pro-Russian views for recruitment.” During the searches, investigators
Security services confiscated the pensioner's mobile phones and computer, claiming that the equipment was allegedly used to carry out espionage tasks.
Currently, the woman has been informed of suspicion of “high treason.” The court plans to select a preventive measure in the form of detention.
