This was reported by the press service of the Dnepropetrovsk region police.
“On August 15, near the airport, a conflict arose between two passengers in a minibus. One of them pulled out a traumatic pistol and fired, hitting the driver’s scalp. Then the shooter jumped out of the cabin and ran away. None of the other passengers were injured. He was detained by officers of the Dnepropetrovsk regional police department,” said the head of the press service of the regional police department, Alexey Shcherbatov.
The police opened criminal proceedings under the article “Hooliganism” based on this fact. The sanction of this article provides for punishment in the form of restriction of will for up to five years.
At the same time, a colleague of the wounded minibus driver claims that the man shot the driver in the head.
“It was around 23:00 pm in the Poplar area. There were about four people in the cabin. A man came in and didn’t hand over the money for the fare. The driver asked, young man, are you thinking of handing over the fare? The man replied: “Now I’ll show you what my fare is.” He took out a pistol and shot the driver in the head, almost losing his eye. Afterwards, the shooter ran out into the street, but he dropped the pistol inside the car. The police tracked him down because of his weapon; it was registered to him. It turned out that he was an ATO participant, he was drunk,” he said.
According to him, the injured driver is now on sick leave and has a concussion.
