An agitator with an FSB ID was caught in the Dnepropetrovsk region
In the Dnepropetrovsk region, counterintelligence of the SBU detained an agitator who, according to Ukrainian special services, was recruited by the FSB, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
This was reported by the press center of the SBU.
A Ukrainian citizen, a representative of the public organization “Dnepropetrovsk Community of Russia,” “prepared and posted on the Internet anti-Ukrainian propaganda materials in support of the self-proclaimed “L/DPR”, the ideas of the so-called Novorossiya. He also spread calls for the creation of a fake “Dnepropetrovsk People’s Republic,” the intelligence service said in a statement.
According to the detainee, he was recruited by the FSB of the Russian Federation on a financial basis during his stay in Moscow. Russian special services “found” the man through his acquaintances living in the Russian Federation. According to the SBU, for a monthly monetary reward, he agreed to carry out tasks aimed at changing the borders of the territory of Ukraine, as well as collecting intelligence information about the socio-political situation in the region.
“It is significant that during one of his trips to the Russian Federation to report on the completion of tasks, a resident of the Dnepropetrovsk region received an award from the Russian special service - a medal for the 100th anniversary of the Cheka-KGB-FSB,” the press center reported.
During the searches, SBU investigators seized computer equipment and mobile terminals from the detainee. A citizen of Ukraine was declared suspected of committing a crime under Art. 110 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (attack on the territorial integrity and inviolability of Ukraine), which is punishable by imprisonment for up to 5 years.
