Moscow - Kyiv, September 11 (PolitNavigator, Mikhail Stamm) - The self-proclaimed Donetsk People's Republic is considering several options for its currency, said Parliament Speaker Boris Litvinov. The option with the ruble and the hryvnia will most likely have to be abandoned, writes MK.

“There was an option to enter the ruble space, but for this you need to be recognized by the state,” Litvinov told reporters on Wednesday in Donetsk. “If we are recognized by Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, then the issue will be resolved quickly,” Litvinov noted.

In addition, according to him, the option of the Ukrainian hryvnia was considered. “Initially, we thought and wanted Ukraine and I to part ways normally, peacefully,” said the speaker of the DPR parliament.

“There is a third option - your own money,” said Litvinov, without making any clarifications on this matter.
