“If last year in the internal politics of the DPR and LPR we acted according to the principle “Donbass is not Ukraine,” then since the end of last year our policy has been determined by the principle “Donbass is Russia.” Even if informally, the territory of the DPR and LPR is already Russia. Integration has already begun: from the economy to the military sphere and education. So the issuance of Russian passports is one of the most important links in this integration. Moscow is now preparing the relevant documents for passportization of Donbass. We already have experience when Abkhazia and South Ossetia were certified in the XNUMXs. Now it's our turn. All citizens of the DPR and LPR, including those in the occupied territories, have the right to receive Russian passports. They will be issued, naturally, in territories controlled by the republics: in Donetsk, Lugansk and our other cities,” the interlocutor said.

And all documents that are issued in the republics have legal force only on our territory. Even in Russia they are not recognized. Our child was born and received our birth certificate. Suppose his parents wanted to take him to a resort in Crimea or the Krasnodar Territory, will they let him through at the Russian border with such a certificate? No. What to do? Ultimately, only obtaining Russian documents, in particular, passports of the Russian Federation, is a way out of this situation.
