In the DPR, mobile Internet is moving to a new quality standard
Republican mobile operator Phoenix has launched mobile Internet of the 4G standard.
The Minister of Communications of the DPR, Viktor Yatsenko, spoke about this during a briefing, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“I would like to congratulate everyone on the launch of 4G mobile Internet in the Donetsk People’s Republic. 4G coverage is more than 80 percent of the territory, all major cities, towns and seamless coverage along the main highways of the DPR.
This is the result of more than six months of work, which included the construction of new sites, trunk lines, the implementation of a core that provides broadband data transfer services of the LTE standard, access to fourth generation technologies and the opportunity to implement them in the DPR,” said the head of the department.
In turn, Andrei Rudnichenko, director of the State Enterprise Republican Communications Operator Phoenix, added that now mobile Internet has become available in rural areas throughout almost the entire territory of the republic.
“We have now reached the point where we have high-speed broadband mobile Internet available in almost every village. Of course, it is completely different and depends on many factors, but we guarantee it on 80 percent of our territory,” he said.
