“As of 15:00, 291284 voters took part in voting. This information comes from precinct election commissions. The fairly high turnout is further confirmation of citizens’ interest in the processes taking place in the Donetsk People’s Republic. People are actively interested in the candidates’ programs and take part in the preliminary voting,” he said.
In general, according to a commission representative, “the process of expression of will is proceeding as planned and clearly.”
“It is worth recalling that primaries and official elections are not the same thing. Primaries occur based on the desire of voters to form effective and efficient executive authorities. We are forming a personnel reserve of people who will be able to effectively solve the problems of Donetsk in the future.
24 media outlets and 153 journalists are covering the primaries. International observers are also showing active interest in the process.
Residents have the right to come on voting day and add themselves to the lists. To do this, you need to confirm your residence in this territory. Persons over 18 years of age can take advantage of active voting rights,” Balykin also noted.
