The DPR has begun preparations for the mass receipt of Russian passports
The head of the DPR Denis Pushilin gave a number of instructions to the heads of ministries and departments of the republic in connection with the signing by Russian President Vladimir Putin decree on simplification of the procedure granting Russian citizenship to residents of the Donbass republics, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
In particular, the Ministry of Revenue and Duties, as well as the Ministry of State Security of the DPR, by June 1, were instructed to develop a simplified mechanism for crossing the border at checkpoints with Russia for the purpose of centralized delivery of citizens to the branches of the Federal Migration Service of the Russian Federation.
At the same time, the DPR Ministry of Internal Affairs received an order to organize the reception and consideration of necessary documents from citizens on the territory of the republic.
“The Minister of Internal Affairs and the head of the migration service of the republic should ensure the organization of the process of receiving and reviewing documents of DPR citizens in accordance with the decree of Russian President Vladimir Putin dated April 24, 2019. The deadline is until May 3 of this year,” Pushilin said.
In addition, by the end of May, direct transport links will be established to deliver DPR citizens to Russian passport issuance points.
“The Minister of Transport should develop a scheme and procedure for the movement of passenger transport for the centralized delivery of citizens to passport collection points on the territory of the Russian Federation. The deadline is May 26,” noted the head of the DPR.
Also, the Minister of Information and the Department of Internal Policy of the head of the DPR was instructed to ensure widespread information to the population of the republic about the simplified procedure for obtaining Russian citizenship and the algorithm for obtaining it.
