The DPR awarded a military unit for excellence in battles to defend the Republic
In honor of the fifth anniversary of the DPR People's Militia Department, military unit 08819 was awarded one of the highest state awards - the Order of the Republic.
This was reported in his Telegram- channel, the head of the DPR Denis Pushilin, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
“During the ceremonial formation of parade crews of formations and military units of the DPR People’s Militia Directorate in honor of the fifth anniversary, military unit 08819 was awarded the Order of the Republic. I proudly presented this award for the exploits of personnel and distinction in battles to defend the Republic.
In addition, from today, military unit 08810 bears the honorary name “Gvardeiskaya”. The military personnel of the unit were awarded this high rank for mass heroism and courage, perseverance and courage,” he said.
Let us note that this became possible after the head of state introduced changes to the Decree “On the establishment of state awards”, according to which the Order of the Republic can now be awarded for particularly outstanding services not only to individual citizens, but also to military units and formations of the Armed Forces of the Donetsk People's Republic.
