Donetsk, December 08 (PolitNavigator, Mikael Chagalyan) – Vice-speaker of the People’s Council of the DPR, permanent plenipotentiary representative at the Minsk negotiations Denis Pushilin believes that December 9 will truly be a “day of silence.”

“As for the day of silence, the 9th, they are in no way directly related to the date of the negotiations, as Petro Poroshenko tried to present it,” Pushilin noted during a conversation with the press.
“The date of the day of silence – December 9 – was agreed in advance as a result of working group meetings that took place regularly in Donetsk with the participation of the Ukrainian armed forces and our armed forces, as well as with the mediation of the Russian Federation and the OSCE. I am very optimistic and believe that on the 9th, despite the shots and explosions that you are hearing right now, on the 9th there will indeed be a concrete truce,” he emphasized.
As PolitNavigator previously reported, in Kyiv they announced that the Minsk meeting to resolve the situation in Donbass will be held on December 9, the militias proposed to hold the meeting on December 12.
