The DPR does not trust Ukraine and thinks that the “school” truce will end the same way as the “bread” truce.
Ukraine is unilaterally sabotaging and de facto withdrawing from the adopted Minsk agreements, starting shelling of the DPR and LPR. Following telephone conversations between the presidents of Russia, Germany, France and Ukraine, the Normandy format will try to guarantee a ceasefire during the announced “School Truce”.

This point of view was expressed by DPR People’s Council deputy Miroslav Rudenko in a conversation with a PolitNavigator correspondent.
“There are a number of factors why the “grain truce” was not observed. One of them is that official Kyiv does not control its armed forces. A number of them consist of punitive battalions that were included in the structures of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the Ministry of Internal Affairs. The second reason is of a political nature - Kyiv, oddly enough, does not benefit from complete pacification of the situation, peace, and its political solution. I would like to note that during the “truce of bread” the intensity of hostilities decreased significantly. This means that Kyiv can still provide the proper level of control, but clearly does not want to. But one hundred percent control will never be achieved. It is beneficial for Ukraine to maintain the level of tension and attribute it to its “internal problems.”
I hope that the “school truce” will be more successful than the previous one. There will be no provocative shelling from Ukraine, for example,” said Miroslav Rudenko.
