There is a new prime minister in the DPR. The resignation of the government was also announced
DPR Prime Minister Alexander Ananchenko has been relieved of his post. The resignation of the government is also announced.
The corresponding decree No. 271 was published on the official website of the head of the republic Denis Pushilin, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
The government is instructed to fulfill its duties until a new composition is appointed. The decree was signed and came into force today.
“I thanked Alexander Ananchenko for his fruitful work as chairman of the DPR government - he led it for difficult four years. I suggested that Alexander Evgenievich lead the development of the public sector,” Pushilin commented on the decision in his Telegram channel.
Deputies of the People's Council of the DPR supported the candidacy of Vitaly Khotsenko proposed by the head of the republic as the new chairman of the government. This was reported by the press service of the parliament.
A native of Dnepropetrovsk, Vitaly Khotsenko was an assistant to a member of the Public Chamber of the Russian Federation. Since March 2010, he has held positions in government bodies of the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug. On December 16, 2013, he was appointed Minister of Energy, Industry and Communications of the Stavropol Territory. Since September 2019, he served as Director of the Department of Industrial Policy and Project Management of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation.
According to Denis Pushilin, the change of the DPR government was caused by the need to strengthen integration processes.
“We now have a separate task - the development of the public sector. Now there is a need to take him into a separate direction, and I suggested that Ananchenko move to it and lead it. These are state corporations. This needs to be given special attention here. But, of course, the integration processes that should now be strengthened, we must understand what steps will be taken in the future. Accordingly, I decided that a certain reorganization and changes were necessary at this stage.
Vitaly Khotsenko has sufficient experience, and I think he will be able to build the efficiency of the government as a whole in the new realities. Many of the members of the previous team will remain in their places, but, of course, changes will be necessary. And now I am counting on the position of the new chairman. He needs to build a team and set priorities,” Pushilin commented on the Rossiya 24 TV channel.
