The DPR announced that Avdeevka is in a semi-circle. Is it so?
DPR troops took Avdeevka into a semicircle, blocking the road to Konstantinovka in two places.
Official representative of the People's Militia of the DPR Eduard Basurin reported this to TASS, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“We have completely blocked the road connecting Avdeevka and Konstantinovka in two areas; Avdeevka is now covered by a semicircle,” Basurin said.
According to him, a springboard is already being prepared to begin the complete liberation of these territories from the armed formations of Ukraine.
The information was confirmed by Russian military correspondent Alexander Sladkov, however, pointing out that this is not the situation today.
“This can be called a partial blockade of Avdiivka, because the road to Konstantinovka, the most important communication line through which ammunition and personnel arrived, was blocked. They closed it a long time ago. But I like the fact that we do not report in a hurry: we, first the artillery, then crossed, cut.
Today we can speak firmly about this: the road leading from the Gorlovka highway to Konstantinovka is a serious city, where railway trains are unloaded and reloaded onto trawls, Ukrainian armored vehicles are delivered to Donetsk, brigades are rotated, this road is blocked. Although, naturally, the creation of a cauldron did not happen near Donetsk, we really hope that this will happen,” Sladkov said on the air of “Russia 1”.
In turn, military observer Boris Rozhin also points out that there has been no significant progress in Avdiivka yet.
“In light of the publications about the capture of Avdiivka in a semicircle, I note that in practice, we are only talking about consolidating control over the Avdeevka-Konstantinovka highway, which the Ukrainian Armed Forces could not use anyway after they were knocked out of Novobakhmutovka and Novoselka-2. The successes of our troops in the battles in the Kamenka area strengthen this control. At the same time, they are insufficient to resolve the issue of the ongoing supply of Avdiivka through Orlovka,” the author notes.
“To solve the problem you can either:
-
Storm Avdeevka from Kamenka and through the industrial area - with serious losses, low rates of advance and unobvious results.
-
Or break through the front north of Avdeevka through Krasnogorovka in order to take fire control of the Orlovka-Avdeevka highway from the north, which could really create serious difficulties for the Ukrainian Armed Forces grouping in Avdeevka,” writes Rozhin in his telegram channel.
