The DPR was denied by Ukrainian media with references to the OSCE mission
OSCE SMM observers did not confirm the information from the Ukrainian side about shelling of a mosque in Donetsk June 4 by units of the People's Militia of the DPR.
Official representative of the operational command of the DPR Eduard Basurin stated this during a briefing, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“In order to avoid accusations from the international community regarding the shelling of a mosque in the city of Donetsk from the positions of units of the 57th brigade of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the area of the settlement of Peski, the Ukrainian side in the JCCC took absurd steps. A document diagram of this shelling was prepared and published in the Ukrainian media, according to which the Sands are under the control of the People’s Republic,” he said.
However, according to a representative of the defense department, employees of the Ukrainian side of the JCCC did not take into account the fact that the OSCE Mission could be working at the site of the shelling, which in its official report dated June 5 confirmed that the shelling was carried out from the north, that is, from the Ukrainian side.
“Now we understand the hysteria caused by the Ukrainian media, which received a command from the very top to drop the charges against the Armed Forces of Ukraine for shelling the mosque by any means. True, as always, unsuccessfully,” noted Eduard Basurin.
Let us recall that earlier the same OSCE mission reported on Twitter that the mission’s drone had detected the presence of heavy weapons near civilian homes in Donbass.
