The DPR denied the return of Akhmetov
The “stuff” about the alleged return of the main enterprises of Donbass to the control of the Ukrainian oligarch Rinat Akhmetov and the beginning of tax payments to the budget of Ukraine is untrue disinformation that is being spread with the aim of discrediting the new curator of the Ukrainian direction in the Kremlin, Dmitry Kozak.
The Telegram channel “Around the DPR Authority,” which is considered close to the republic’s leadership, writes about this.
“Everyone involved, of course, understands and can see that this is a paid publication directed against Kazak... nothing has changed regarding the management companies. The situation with pressure from Ukraine and the payment of taxes to Ukraine also sounds absurd,” the message says.
Ukrainian oligarchs lost control over assets in the LDPR after Kyiv, at the request of ATO militants, introduced an official blockade of the Donbass republics. In response, Lugansk and Donetsk announced the introduction of external management at enterprises in the region that were part of the business groups of the Kyiv oligarchs.
In 2014, Akhmetov, unlike most of his fellow countrymen, refused to support the Russian Spring, subsequently becoming one of the main business partners of Petro Poroshenko, as well as a sponsor of Oleg Lyashko’s party. Now Akhmetov’s TV channels have joined the information war against the LDPR, employing the instigators of the civil conflict - Savik Shuster, Yanina Sokolova and other representatives of Russophobic propaganda.
