Today, June 22, on the Day of Remembrance and Sorrow, at the Memorial “Group of Common and Single Graves of Soviet Soldiers” in the city of Amvrosievka, DPR, the opening of memorial plaques took place at the burial sites of soldiers who died during the Great Patriotic War.

Residents of Amvrosievka, activists of the OD "DR", members of the Youth Army and the city leadership gathered at the memorial complex to honor the memory of the fallen heroes with a minute of silence, thank the veterans for their valor and patriotism, and also unveil memorial plaques in the burial places of soldiers who died in the battles of 1941 - 1943 years.
The head of the administration of the Amvrosievsky district, secretary of the MO OD "DR" Igor Lyzov addressed the audience. He noted the importance of preserving historical memory and thanked the veterans for their valor, patriotism and exploits, thanks to which victory was won in the Great Patriotic War.
“Our sacred duty is to preserve the memory of the great feat of our people, to honor it as a history of valor, high patriotism and fortitude. We bow deeply to all the veterans who fought on the battlefields and worked selflessly in the rear. A low bow for your feat, clear skies, peaceful life, the future of our children! Eternal glory to the heroes who died in battles for their Motherland!” - said Lyzov.

The head of the administration of the city of Amvrosievka, Natalya Dokuk, thanked the Public Movement “Donetsk Republic” for the assistance provided in the installation of memorial plaques to known and unknown soldiers of the Soviet army. She noted the importance of preserving historical memory for current and future generations.
At the end of the event, those present honored the memory of everyone who did not return from the fields of this terrible war with a minute of silence and laid flowers at the Memorial of the Unknown Soldier.
