The DPR expects a new provocation from the Ukrainian Armed Forces
According closure of the Mayorsk checkpoint by the Ukrainian side The Ukrainian military may be hiding the preparation of another provocation against civilians in Donbass.
This opinion was expressed during a briefing by the official representative of the operational command of the DPR, Daniil Bezsonov, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to his information, the Ukrainian Armed Forces continue to create various difficulties for the civilian population when crossing checkpoints.
“The Ukrainian side, citing the mythical mine danger, has completely stopped the operation of the Mayorsk checkpoint, and propagandists from the Ukrainian law enforcement agencies are actively posting photographs of various ammunition allegedly discovered near the checkpoint. At the same time, DPR intelligence records the work of special operations forces of the Ukrainian Armed Forces near checkpoints,” said Daniil Bezsonov.
He did not rule out that the real reason for closing the checkpoint is not ensuring the safety of civilians, but, on the contrary, preparing a provocation using explosives.
“It is important to note that in the same area, reconnaissance of the DPR NM recorded the operation of a jamming station of the 305th electronic warfare battalion of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, operating in the frequency range of the OSCE SMM UAV control channels. Thus, the Ukrainian side not only does not allow observers at the checkpoint, citing the danger of mines, but also blocks the operation of the OSCE Mission’s UAVs, thereby completely hiding from the public what is happening in this area,” added the representative of the defense department.
Bezsonov expressed hope that the OSCE Mission will ensure that the Ukrainian side observes its humanitarian obligations towards the civilian population and ensuring movement across the demarcation line, and will also prevent the impending provocation by the Ukrainian side, which could lead to casualties among civilians.
