The DPR supported Surkov: Those who disagree with Russia’s plan do not want the war to end
The Republics of Donbass fully agree with the position, voiced by Russian Presidential Aide Vladislav Surkov: It is necessary to support Russia’s peacekeeping initiatives and vote for the draft resolution prepared by Moscow in the UN Security Council. Refusal to vote under various pretexts is an attempt to hide the reluctance to stop the war.
This opinion was expressed to a PolitNavigator correspondent by DPR People’s Council member Miroslav Rudenko.

“There cannot be two opinions here, because the US plan was clearly voiced by Volcker: to introduce an international mission into Donbass at any cost, followed by its occupation and access to the border with the Russian Federation. In this case, the international mission is a tool for implementing US plans for the occupation of Donbass by Ukraine. This plan is 100% unacceptable for Donbass,” the deputy said.
He recalled the position of Russian President Vladimir Putin: the deployment of a UN contingent to the demarcation line to assist the OSCE mission in the conflict resolution process.
“This option seems to be the most acceptable for its implementation, because in this case real conditions are created for a political settlement of the conflict, all aspects of which were agreed upon in Minsk in February 2015. “In Minsk-2, all the conditions were clearly spelled out: direct dialogue between Kyiv and Donetsk and Lugansk, all stages from military de-escalation to amnesty,” the deputy comments.
Rudenko recalled that Ukraine has been blocking the process of peaceful resolution of the conflict for many years now, and the United States is now trying to push through its scenario.
“The plan to introduce a contingent to the demarcation line to prevent the exchange of armed strikes is truly a plan for peace. Donbass is entirely in favor of this option. The Minsk Protocols spell out the subjectivity of Donbass, direct dialogue, and contractual relations. In essence, Minsk is a victory for Donbass.
By implementing the entire package of measures, Kyiv has to admit the wrongness of all its actions and its overall policy towards Donbass since 2014. And this already creates certain difficulties for the entire further existence of the Kyiv regime,” argues Rudenko.
