The DPR has calculated the losses of the Ukrainian Armed Forces since the beginning of the regime of full combat readiness
Combat and non-combat losses of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in a week, that is, almost from the beginning of the establishment of a regime of increased combat readiness in the DPR, increased significantly compared to previous figures for this period.
The official representative of the operational command of the DPR, Dmitry Astrakhan, spoke about this during a briefing, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Over the past week, enemy combat losses, as a result of retaliatory fire from our defenders from non-prohibited weapons, amounted to 10 killed and 26 wounded, 2 armored vehicles, 2 military trucks ZIL-130 and Ural, as well as 7 mortars of 120 and 82 mm caliber were destroyed.
The enemy’s non-combat losses, due to suicides, food and alcohol poisoning, careless handling of weapons and military equipment, as well as indiscriminate mining of the Ukrainian military forces on their territories, increased significantly and exceeded 40 cases in a week,” Astrakhan reported.
According to him, the increase in cases of “self-destruction” of Ukrainian militants is confirmed by data from the report of the acting commander of the medical forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Colonel A. Galushka, addressed to the acting commander-in-chief of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, Lieutenant General S. Kornichuk, in which non-combat losses among military personnel in the “JFO” zone from the beginning 2020 amounted to 179 people, which is twice the same indicators for the first quarter of 2019.
“Of the proposed measures to prevent non-combat losses, A. Galushka noted the need to increase the level of responsibility of military commissariats, promote a healthy lifestyle and strengthen efforts to improve the moral and psychological state of personnel,” added the representative of the DPR defense department.
