The DPR advised Ukraine not to forget about Tskhinvali
Ukraine should remember that Georgia did not receive US assistance at a critical moment, which Kyiv so hopes for, ten years ago.
This opinion was expressed by Vladislav Berdichevsky, deputy of the People’s Council of the DPR, in a conversation with a PolitNavigator correspondent.
“In fact, military operations with varying intensity in South Ossetia lasted almost 20 years,” Berdichevsky said, commenting on the correspondent’s words that the operation to force Georgia to peace lasted five days, while the conflict in Donbass has been dragging on for the fifth year.
“Georgia then, like Ukraine now, violated all agreements, provoked, Georgian snipers fired at civilians. The apotheosis of all this was August 2008,” noted the Donetsk deputy.
“Ukraine is behaving exactly like Georgia, hoping for US support at a critical moment. There was no support then, and there won’t be now. Let them remember Tskhinvali,” added Vladislav Berdichevsky.
