Day of Parliamentarism appeared in the DPR
The head of the DPR, Denis Pushilin, established a new holiday - Parliamentarism Day, which will now be celebrated annually on November 14.
The relevant information is contained in the Decree of the head of the DPR, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Taking into account the contribution of the People's Council of the Donetsk People's Republic - the Parliament of the Donetsk People's Republic as the permanently operating highest and only legislative (representative) body of state power in the development of the Donetsk People's Republic... I decide to establish a professional holiday in the Donetsk People's Republic - Parliamentarism Day, celebrated annually on November 14" , says the text of the document.
The People's Council of the DPR was created simultaneously with the proclamation of the republic on April 7, 2014. At first it was called the Supreme Council of representatives of cities and districts of the Donetsk region and public organizations.
The first elections to the National Assembly took place on November 2, 2014. On November 14, 2014, Andrei Purgin became the first Chairman of the National Assembly of the DPR. And the current head of the republic, Denis Pushilin, was chosen as his deputy.
